Example shortlist
For this brief, the tool returns candidates like these, each with a 0-100 match score and a written reason.
Brief: Senior Ruby on Rails developer, 5+ years, PostgreSQL and React, remote in European time zones, 6-month contract.
Illustrative composites, not real people. A real shortlist has the same shape: role, location, experience, score and reason.

The tool, step by step
Screens from the Elital matching tool, running a plain "ruby on rails developer" search. Candidates are anonymised: no names, and past employers show as initials.
1. Describe the role. Paste a job description or write the role in your own words.2. Match. The job text becomes several searches over the candidate profiles, and the results are ranked.3. Read the shortlist. An LLM gives each candidate a 0-100 score and writes the "Why This Match" note, so you can check the ranking instead of trusting it.4. Share it. A shortlist opens by link, with no account needed.
How matching works
What happens to the job description?
It is expanded into several search queries. Each runs two searches over the candidate profiles in PostgreSQL: a vector search, which finds profiles that say the same thing in other words, and a full-text search, which matches the words themselves.
What does the LLM do?
It gives each result a 0-100 match score and writes a short "Why This Match" note for it.
Do shortlists show candidate names?
No. A shortlist shows the role, city and years of experience. Past employers appear as initials.
Clean and transparent
Plain rules for how Elital works. Each one describes something the tool does, not a slogan.
A reason with every score
Each candidate gets a 0-100 score and a written note on why. You can read the reasoning and disagree with it.
Ranking you can't buy
Order comes from the match score alone. There is no bidding, and nobody can pay to rank higher.
No names until you ask
Shortlists show role, city and years, not names. To reach someone you request contact, and a JetThoughts team member makes the introduction.
Honest about the limits
A score is a language model's estimate from the profile text. It helps you choose who to talk to. It does not guarantee a hire.
A fixed, transparent fee
One fixed platform fee: $20 per month.
